Today’s reading Esther 5-10:
Esther 10:3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
Mordecai was a great leader. He earned the respect of his brothers. He thought only of how to meet their needs and be a blessing to them. He spoke peace to all of his family.
So many worldly leaders would be concerned more about what they can get from people while Mordecai was more worried about what he could do for the people.
I want to be like that. I want to live my life first for the kingdom of Jesus Christ and secondly for the wealth, help, blessing of others. I want to serve others. I want to make others be successful.
I want to speak peace to a generation. I know you do as well.
