Today’s reading Genesis 45-47

Genesis 46:30 And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.

Jacob finally gets to see his son Joseph again. He thought that he had died. Now he is alive. This is such a great blessing from God that he uses an idiom to express his joy. God has been so good to me that if I died now I would die a very happy man. God has given me my wildest dreams!

All of that is included in the idea of “now let me die!”

God has been to me. I often think of all that has happened in my life and consider that God has been really good to me. He has blessed me in more ways than I could ever imagine, dream of, or for sure deserve.

Traveling to countries like Burkina Faso reminds me of His goodness. I see the hurt, the abuse, the harsh, selfish, treatment and I am reminded of how blessed I am.

I was raised in a godly home. My parents taught me to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. I have the greatest brothers and sisters on the planet.

God gave me a most wonderful wife, wonderful children, wonderful sons in law and daughters in law! He has given me 16 wonderful grandchildren and another on the way! He has given me a great ministry and blessed me in the ministry all of these years.

God has been good to me. He allows me to pastor the Vision Baptist Church. He allows me to have the greatest of missionary and pastor friends.

I can die now! Now let me die! I have had it all. If I die today I will die a very rich man! God has been good.

When was the last time you took time to think of how good God has been to you! When is the last time you told Him thank you over and over!

I can die now!
