Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

When God allows things to happen in our lives it is so easy to get bitter. We are angry at our brothers that didn’t love us. They abused us and sold us into slavery. Who knows what all happened while Joseph was a slave, in prison, or wherever he was. He had every reason to be angry. He had every reason to want to get even but he does something bigger than that. He realizes that God had a purpose in it all.

His brothers realized that he had every right to be angry. They were afraid for their lives. They didn’t know what might happen.

Joseph saw beyond the obvious to what God had been doing. It might have hurt. It might be something that it was difficult to get over but Joseph saw that God was at work. He saw God’s greater purpose.

Do you realize that God is at work in your life? Do you acknowledge that even though things hurt that God will use it all? It is time to see beyond the obvious to what God is doing in your life!
