Genesis 37:9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
Joseph as a young boy dreams of big things that God is going to do with him when he is grown. He dreams that his family will bow down to him.
His dream was a little skewered but it was close. It was the idea. I am sure he had no idea that God would wait over 20 years for him to see the dream come to pass. He has no idea that first his family will reject him, he will be a slave, go to jail, be forgotten, and grow old holding on to a dream but that is what happened.
Eventually all he dreamed of came true. I challenge you to dream of doing great things for God but I also challenge you to pay the price that comes with the dream. Things aren’t easy and they do not come cheap. It takes faith and patience.
It takes hard work. It takes allowing God to do in and through you what He wants and needs to get you ready for what He has for you.
While you see the glory of your family bowing down to you God sees the real purpose that your life will be to save a nation.
Get some perspective. Get ready for the dream but get on God’s schedule and involved in His plan not yours!
