Today’s reading Joshua 14-15
Joshua 14:8 Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.
Joshua and Caleb were the only ones that believed that God could really give them the promised land. The other 10 spies spent their time telling people how big the enemy was, all the reasons it wouldn’t work and never told them how big God was.
Before it was over the people were easily persuaded that God did not want them to take the promised land no matter what Moses had said. They refused to believe that God was leading them through Moses and so they refused to go into the promised land.
Caleb here reminds Joshua and the children of the fallen that he believed God and followed Him from the heart.
I want to be known as one that has a heart to do great things for God and His kingdom. I want to step out and take risks for Him and His causes. There will always be more reasons not to do something than to do them.
There will always be those that do not believe that can only see obstacles. I want to be an encourager and I want to be a believer.
