Today’s reading Genesis 10-12

Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

God blessed Abraham. He called Abraham and made him and his people were promised great blessings.

The end result of all the blessings was that Abraham would be a blessing to all the families of the earth. We often think that in the Old Testament there was no World Evangelism mandate but I believe this was one right here.

Israel did bless the world with the Bible, the birth of Jesus, and even the beginnings of the church but there was to be more than that. They were to bless the world. More than once we find the idea that they wanted all the world to know that there was a God in Israel.

What are you to do with all the blessings you have? Where you blessed to be blessed or be a blessing? Your talents, your time, your treasures, were they meant so that you could take the gospel to the world or so you could enjoy your best life now?

Be careful to take all that God has done in your life and use it for His honor and glory!
