Colossians 4:14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.

I love it here that Paul sends greetings from his team members and one of them is a doctor. You maybe saying that God didn’t call you to preach and that you have a profession. You may wonder where you can fit in but Luke didn’t seem to be worried about that.

He was right there in the middle of things. He travels with Paul and gets mentioned by Paul in the letters. He is a professional and scientific man. He uses his gifts to minister to Paul and help him in the ministry.

He also is going to use his analytical mind to write two of the longest books in the New Testament. He will write a gospel and the history of the early church in the book of Luke and then Acts. Acts is simply part two to his gospel story.

Where do you fit in? What talent do you have that you can be using for the kingdom? Do not be discouraged because God didn’t call you to preach or make you the apostle just find out what you can do and do it for His glory.

Next reading will be Romans 1 for tomorrow and then we read the entire book of Romans before returning to Colossians.
