This series of articles was written by veteran missionary Mark Coffey. You can find out more about Mark, his ministry in South Africa, and Camp Rhino at projectsouthafrica.com and camprhino.org.

The ministry of Camp Rhino is to assist our team of churches in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.  We will be working together to reach the younger generation with the Gospel in the Port Elizabeth community.  The camp will make available an atmosphere that is conducive to spiritual challenges and maturity.

Throughout the year, Juniors and teens will be able to experience normal camp weeks during school holidays. On weekends, faithful teens will have the opportunity to stay engaged by way of our mentoring programs that will take place Friday evenings through Saturday afternoons. Camp Rhino will be a place of refuge for young people who desire to live holy, separated lives.  It will be a place that will equip them to better minister in their local churches, and will be a place where they will be encouraged and equipped to reach their community for Christ.

While our main focus will be our churches in Port Elizabeth, we also hope to be a help to other Bible-preaching churches around South Africa.  Very few places exist in our part of the world that are available to pastors and churches that aid in challenging their young people for Christ.  We also look forward to ministering and serving adults with our different retreats, conferences, and training sessions.

Please be in prayer for Mark and his family as they currently are in the States raising funds to realize the vision of Camp Rhino.
