1Corinthians 1:31  That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

God didn’t choose nor use many of the wise, rich, noble, etc. because He wants the glory for Himself. We are so tempted to think of what we have done and what we have accomplished.

We see the results that He gives us in ministry or the service we render to Him and think of how much we have done. We want to be recognized. I have a real problem with this.

He wants us to mature to the point that we are not looking to be praised but to give Him the glory.

Why do we try and get the glory? Why do we want people looking at us?

We should glory in Him and what He has done. Not in that we have been successful but in that He saved us when we did not deserve it.

Today let’s think of how good He has been. Let’s give Him the glory for all that He has done.

Tomorrow’s reading I Corinthians 2
